The Inside Scoop by Nick Guerra
Ah yes, Captain Planet's Cousin. The original name was supposed to be Captain New Jersey but
we didn't know if that was too obscure to throw out there. Somethings are heard well but aren't
read the same way. This strip was one of favorites to shoot. This was done on the same night
as SOL, Art of War and Pulling Your Legs. In fact, we still have a comic on hold from this
productive night.
Our special guest is actually Anthony's cousin. He discovered the trick to getting a guest spot
in our comic strip. Hang out with us late enough and eventually you'll end up somewhere. I wanted
to give his character a personality tick so I gave him the double bubble talk. I don't know if
this will be the last time we play with a Captain Planet idea but for now, I think we all feel this
one stands on its own.
